Worth County Library offers free access to computers for public use. Each computer is equipped with Microsoft Office software and Internet browsers. With your PINES card, you can log on to a computer for up to 2 hours per day.
Printing is available at 25 cents per page. Computers are available at the beginning of the day and are shut down 15 minutes before the library closes.
Also with computer access at the library, you can utilize informational databases in GALILEO. GALILEO, which stands for GeorgiA LIbrary LEarning Online, is a virtual library of over 100 databases, indexing thousands of periodicals and over 10,000 journal titles in full-text. You can access GALILEO in the library, or remotely with your library card and a password that we will provide.
Don’t know what to read next? NoveList can help! Available through GALILEO, NoveList is a Reader’s Advisory Database that allows users to search for author read-alikes, book discussion guides and recommended reads. NoveList K-8 is also available for younger readers.
At the library, you can access databases containing information vital to your Genealogy research. Ancestry Library Edition, Heritage Quest, and Voyages: The Trans-Atlantic Slave Trade Databases are all available at the library. Heritage Quest can also be accessed, off-site, through GALILEO.
Visitors to the library are able to use our Wireless Internet. Our wireless network is password protected and the login information is posted on the screen. If you need assistance logging into the wireless network, please check with staff. Since you are using your own equipment, there are no time limits and no waiting. At this time, wireless users cannot print directly from their laptop or other device. If you need to print, save your work to a USB drive and take it to the circulation desk for printing
