What you can do with your library card?
Your library card allows you to check out books, movies, and audiobooks, all for free. But that’s not all. You can also check out passes to state parks and other attractions, and download eBooks, eAudiobooks and eMagazines.
Get a Library Card
PINES Library Cards are free to all residents of Georgia. Persons who are enrolled in school, own property or are employed in Georgia are eligible for a free PINES card. Bring identification showing your current address to Worth County Library to get a card.
Children under the age of 18 must have a parent or legal guardian register them for a Library Card. Parents must also present proper identification and sign the application, assuming all legal responsibility for any fines, lost or damaged materials charged on the minor’s card.
Report a lost or stolen card immediately to the library to avoid responsibility for use. There is a $2 charge for a replacement card.
Check out Items
A PINES Library Card is required for all transactions including check out of items, renewal, and to place a hold (reserve) on an item that is either checked out of the library or is located at another PINES member library. A patron must present a card in good standing to borrow materials. A patron’s card will be blocked to additional borrowing if the patron has 10 or more overdue items or owes $10 or more in unpaid fines and/or fees.
Books check out for 2 weeks with 2 possible renewals and overdue fines are $.20 per day per book. DVDs check out for one week with 2 renewals. Overdue fines are $.50 per day per movie.
